GWZO goes Moritzbastei: Science-Slam & DJ-Set

Cover_VisGK_Staging the pagan past

Concert and debate

How does the fascination with Germanic tribes, Vikings or early Slavs shape popular images of history? The GWZO’s event at the Moritzbastei will have two parts: First, there will be a science slam to present research findings about Germany, Poland and Hungary. On stage: Ralf Hoppadietz, Katrin Kremmler and GWZO colleague Karin Reichenbach. Moderation: Sabine Stach.

This will be followed by Leipzig’s own DJ Alexander Pehlemann (Zonic Zound Zystem). Right-wing pop discourse will be countered with a musical discourse featuring a blend of new wave, post-punk, reggae, and other genres. Our promise: your chance to dance!

Location: Moritzbastei, Kurt-Masur-Platz 1, 04109 Leipzig / Ratstonne
