Armenian Diasporic Field in Hungary

Armenian Diasporic Field in Hungary: A Cultural Sociology

The goal is to analyze the structure of authority in the Armenian diasporic community of Hungary. The project relies on Bourdieu’s field theory to address the struggles for position-taking and maintenance among the Armenian groups with distinct histories and migration backgrounds. This integrative model of agential forces and structural contexts for diaspora formation, operation, and internal processes and relations refers to a particular diasporic community within and beyond ethnicity.
